Mélange Coaching is led by Directors Ivan and Bernadette, who share a passion for developing confident, adaptable leaders and high-performing teams. Their vision is to create lasting change within organisations by empowering individuals and teams to reach their full potential. The Team at Mélange includes its Director and co-founder who is a qualified and experienced Executive Coach, Coaching Supervisor and Leadership Team Coach. Ivan specialises in team coaching as a practitioner, trainer and supervisor and highly involved in developing the coaching profession to be ethical, inclusive and evidence-based. He formally held the post of the President of the EMCC UK. With a corporate background in large Banking and Engineering sectors, he has a breadth of leadership experience and has been coaching for more than twenty years. Passionate about leadership, Ivan carries out intensive academic research to make sure that Mélange keeps on top of the latest thinking in its leadership development work. Ivan can be found on the 'coaching network' providing insight into the latest research in this field.
Bernadette is our co-Director and co-founder, an experienced Executive Coach and Team Coach, with a strong track record in leadership development and coaching. Her background in senior corporate leadership gives her a deep understanding of organisational culture — including its unspoken dynamics, structural challenges and opportunities for change. She specialises in creating reflective, supportive and challenging coaching spaces that enable leaders to grow their confidence, navigate complexity, and develop a leadership style that feels authentic and effective. Bernadette works closely with Ivan to translate the latest thinking in leadership and coaching into practical, workplace-ready strategies that deliver measurable value for individuals, teams and organisations.

Mandy is an experienced leadership and team coach, drawing on almost a decade of practice in coaching and leadership development, following a senior career in the NHS. Her work focuses on supporting leaders and teams build psychological safety, strengthen collaboration, and lead with values. With deep expertise in human behaviour and group dynamics, Mandy brings a compassionate yet outcome-focused approach to driving meaningful change.
She has designed and delivered national and regional leadership programmes, including for patient leaders, embedding co-production into service design. She also supported executive teams across complex healthcare systems to build trust-based cultures and significantly improve engagement and performance.
Mandy is an EMCC Coach Practitioner, a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership, a certified High Performance Team 360 practitioner, and an Associate Member of both EMCC and the Association for Coaching. She is also a graduate of the Common Purpose Senior Leadership Programme.
