The Leader as Coach 2-day training programme is crafted to equip organisational leaders and managers with the essential skills needed to adopt a coaching approach and mindset in their professional roles.
By integrating coaching principles into their leadership and management styles, participants acquire the tools to empower their people, enhance communication, encourage collaboration and elevate overall performance.
As the challenges in leadership become increasingly complex and intricate, the dynamics and skills required for leadership and coaching intertwine. The essential competencies and behaviours crucial for leadership and managerial agility align seamlessly with those demonstrated when adopting a coaching approach.
This training programme is created and delivered by coaching practitioners— trained coaching professionals actively engaged in coaching leaders and teams within organisations. These skilled and experienced coaches not only practice coaching but also bring their own leadership experience to enrich the course.
The course prioritises hands-on experience, covering coaching models, core skills (such as active listening, powerful questioning), and in-class supervision. Participants receive valuable feedback and engage in peer observation. It emphasises ethical considerations, including a Code of Ethics, and introduces the Association for Coaching (AC) Coaching Competency Framework. A recommended resource list supports ongoing learning.
This course will be accredited through the AC (pending) and will be highly practical and reflective to best embed learning. Delegates can go on to gain Leader Coach accreditation with AC and we are able to support this with additional Group Reflection and Supervision sessions. We can provide support through this process.
