About Us

Mélange Coaching is a partnership led by Ivan Beaumont and Bernadette Rothwell.

Through coaching, team coaching, leadership development and supervision, we support leaders and teams navigating the realities of organisational life: competing priorities, increasing complexity, organisational change and the challenge of creating meaningful progress in environments where there are rarely simple answers.

Our work creates space for people to think more clearly, work together more effectively and build the confidence and capability needed to address the challenges they face.

Why We Created Mélange

Mélange Coaching grew from a shared observation.

Across different organisations, sectors and leadership roles, we repeatedly encountered capable people working incredibly hard to solve difficult problems.

The leaders were experienced.

The teams were committed.

The intentions were good.

Yet progress often felt slower, harder or more fragile than it should.

Over time, we became increasingly interested in what was happening beneath the surface. Not simply what organisations were trying to achieve, but how people were working together to achieve it.

We found ourselves returning to the same belief: meaningful change rarely happens because somebody delivers the perfect answer. More often, it emerges through better conversations, broader perspectives, thoughtful challenge and a deeper understanding of what is really happening.

Mélange Coaching was created to provide the space, support and challenge that help those conversations take place.

Meet the Founders

Ivan Beaumont - EMCC Senior Practitioner (Coaching), EMCC Global Accredited Coach Supervisor (ESIA) & ILM Qualified in Coaching & Mentoring. Former President of EMCC UK

Ivan brings extensive experience in leadership development, organisational change and team coaching. As a former President of EMCC UK, he contributed to shaping professional standards across the coaching and supervision community. His work integrates systemic insight, relational intelligence and practical organisational understanding, supporting leaders and teams to work with complexity, build alignment and develop capability that lasts.

Bernadette has nearly two decades of experience supporting leaders and teams across complex organisational systems. Her practice blends systemic thinking, reflective supervision and relational leadership, helping leaders see patterns, navigate uncertainty and act with clarity and presence. She has worked across infrastructure, digital, transformation and purpose‑driven sectors, and is known for creating thoughtful, courageous spaces where meaningful change can emerge.

Mandy is an experienced leadership and team coach with a background in senior NHS leadership. She supports leaders and teams to build psychological safety, strengthen collaboration and lead through values. Mandy has extensive experience designing and delivering national and regional leadership programmes, including work with patient leaders and co‑production in service design. She brings a compassionate, outcome‑focused approach grounded in deep understanding of human behaviour and team dynamics.
