1. Commitment

Mélange Coaching Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero by 2045 in line with NHS England’s Net Zero Supplier Roadmap. We operate as a micro‑business with a remote‑first model, minimising travel, energy use, and material consumption.

2. Organisational Structure

a. Private limited company

b. Two directors (Bernadette Rothwell and Ivan Beaumont)

c. No physical premises beyond a home office

d. No fleet, no manufacturing, no supply chain emissions beyond digital services

2. Baseline Emissions (2024)

a. Because Mélange Coaching is a micro‑business with minimal operational emissions, baseline emissions are low.

Scope 1 (direct emissions):

b. 0 tCO₂e (No gas, no company vehicles, no fuel combustion.)

Scope 2 (purchased electricity):

c. Estimated 0.3–0.5 tCO₂e (Home office electricity use; varies by energy provider.)

Scope 3 (indirect emissions):

d. Estimated 0.5–1.0 tCO₂e Includes:

i. Digital services (cloud storage, video conferencing)

ii. Business travel (primarily rail)

iii. Purchased goods (minimal)

Total baseline emissions: 

Approx. 0.8–1.5 tCO₂e per year

3. Emissions Reduction Measures

a. We have already implemented the following measures:

i. Remote‑first delivery model for coaching and training

ii. Preference for rail over car/air travel

iii. Digital‑first materials (no printing unless required for accessibility)

iv. Cloud storage with renewable‑powered providers where possible

v. Energy‑efficient home office equipment

vi. Recycling and waste minimisation

4. Planned Future Measures

a. Switch to 100% renewable electricity tariff (if not already in place)

b. Annual review of digital carbon footprint

c. Carbon‑aware scheduling (off‑peak digital activity where possible)

d. Explore verified carbon offsetting for unavoidable travel

e. Publish annual progress updates

5. Governance

a. Net Zero Champion: Bernadette Rothwell, Director 

i. Responsible for monitoring emissions, updating the CRP annually, and completing the Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment.

6. Declaration

a. This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and the NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap. It is publicly available in the footer of our website: https://melangecoaching.co.uk/
